Identity, Emotion, and the Secret to Resilience.

"Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor."

- Thich Nhat Hanh

Dear Reader,

We all face difficult emotions.

They are part of human life.

However, there seems to be a bug in the English language that indirectly hinders our ability to overcome them.

When we feel sadness, we say "I am sad."

When we feel anger, we say "I am angry."

This allows for no separation between feeling and feeler. And in truth, this is not how life actually is.

We feel our emotions. We do not become them. We are their observers.

Through this shift, you learn to detach from momentary feelings.

And through detachment, you are no longer swayed by a momentary impulse, you are simply able to observe it.

If you've struggled with negative emotions like anger, anxiety, grief, envy, overwhelm, restlessness, and self-doubt recently, I created a short guide to help remedy them; based on powerful teachings from eastern wisdom.

Peace, love, and joy to you.
