"Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without."
- Gautama Buddha
Dear Reader,
Inner peace is one of the most tragically misunderstood things in life.
Many people believe that it only occurs when we shut out our distractions.
Or when we have nothing weighing against us.
Or when everything is going our way.
Yet this could not be further from the truth.
Nothing in the world can give peace to you.
It is not an arbitrary gift that only presents itself in certain circumstances.
Rather, peace is the product of right thoughts and right actions.
It is a complete product of the internal world.
For if you allow your peace to be dictated by the external, you do not truly possess it.
External circumstances shift. And so, if you anchor your peace in the external, your peace will shift with it.
That is why it is the aim of the master to cultivate mastery over the internal world.
Through right thoughts and right actions over time, we gain mastery of our internal world.
And this internal mastery produces peace.
It must become a habit in your life.
Only through the cultivation of habit does it truly remain.
